About
The Little Green Boat
To understand The Little Green Boat, you first need to know that the project started from a simple idea.
Our trips are not simple recreational dives. They are true micro-expeditions accessible to everyone, where each immersion also helps document and contribute to research projects in Curaçao and beyond. We record reef sounds, photograph seagrass beds, corals and turtles, map less-visited areas, and even study underwater fluorescence during night dives.
Our aim is to make every dive engaging, curious and quietly enlightening, both for our divers and for those studying the ocean we love.

Learn more about The Little Green Boat first
Before The Little Green Boat, our professional lives looked very different from what we do today. Fabien worked in motorsport, while Caro managed nightclubs and pubs in London. Two intense and demanding worlds, yet neither prevented us from being deeply drawn to the ocean.
It was in the Canary Islands that we finally decided to place the ocean at the center of our lives. That is where Fabien created Crazy Canary, a company focused on selling excursions with a clear goal: to help travelers discover the archipelago in an intimate, responsible way, deeply connected to nature.
After selling our first sailboat, we bought the one we now use in Curaçao. We fully restored it, and it is on board that we crossed the Atlantic.
It was also in the Canary Islands and Portugal that we obtained our professional qualifications as certified diving instructors, laying the foundations for our future activity. We had been recreational divers since 1998, and we are now professionals with more than 5,000 dives each.
The journey that shaped us
It all started with the full renovation of our sailboat in the Canary Islands — a beautiful 1973 Amel Euros 41, with two masts and plenty of character.
Then came the Atlantic crossing. An experience that completely changed how we read the ocean, the weather, and navigation. Out there, you don’t just “visit” the sea — you learn to listen to it, understand it, and respect it.
Over the next 18 months, we sailed through much of the Caribbean, discovering different islands, meeting people along the way, and seeing first-hand the environmental challenges each place faces.
That journey shaped us. It’s influenced the way we dive, the way we explore, and the approach we bring to what we do today.
About The Little Green Boat
and our environmental commitment
From the moment we arrived in the Caribbean, we wanted to get involved in a concrete way.
In Grenada, we spent time helping young people learn to swim — many of whom grew up by the sea but had never been taught.
In Saint Barth, we participated in coral restoration programs.
In Curaçao, we regularly collaborate with two local organizations: Sea Turtle Conservation Curaçao for the identification and monitoring of turtles and Reef Renewal Curaçao for reef restoration.
This commitment is not a one-off. It is a guiding principle of our way of diving and living near the sea.
Why choose Curaçao?
Of all the islands we explored, Curaçao was the one that naturally held our attention.
Of course, it helped that Curaçao offers beautiful, accessible dive sites. But what really made us stay was the people.
Curaçao is proudly multicultural, open, and deeply attached to its identity. There’s a quiet confidence here — a strong sense of pride in being self-reliant, in knowing how to make things work, and in expecting little from others while still being supportive and welcoming.
That spirit resonated with us immediately. Curaçao has a strong, inclusive character — and it felt like home.
This has become our new home!!!
Everything you need to know about The Little Green Boat today
The Little Green Boat is now a leading diving center in Curaçao for French-speaking travelers seeking exclusive, 100% private marine expeditions.
Managed by certified PADI and SSI instructors, our dive center prioritizes absolute quality over quantity. We offer only tailor-made, personalized trips. Far from mass tourism, whether for complete diving courses in Curaçao or guided dives on the island’s most beautiful reefs, our experiences are calm and focused on observation, underwater photography, animal behavior, and citizen science.
Our approach is simple: take time, respect the ocean, and share what we learn underwater. We want every diver to leave with memorable experiences, but also with a deeper and more respectful understanding of the marine environment.
Passionate about the sea and local life, we regularly share our expertise through blog articles dedicated to scuba diving in Curaçao, sunset boat trips, as well as marine biology and ocean conservation. Our unique background and eco-responsible commitment also lead us to collaborate with sailing and diving media, as well as audiovisual production teams.
Whether you are curious about local culture or keen on marine discoveries away from the crowds, our blog guides you step by step to experience Curaçao differently.
Our vision for the future
We aim to make The Little Green Boat a leading reference for eco-responsible diving and citizen science in Curaçao.
Our mission starts with the very first breath underwater: by guiding complete beginners through an unforgettable try dive in Curaçao, we can share best practices and educate the divers of tomorrow.
At the same time, we aim to welcome more underwater photographers, scientists, and marine biology enthusiasts each year to document the richness of our reefs. By strengthening our concrete actions with local schools, younger generations, and travelers, we firmly believe that a small-scale operation can drive real change.
If our training programs and private expeditions help support scientific research, inspire the community, and actively protect the underwater world, then we are moving in the right direction together.
