Yes, absolutely. To be certified as a Rescue Diver, you must hold a first aid certification less than 24 months old (such as PADI EFR or SSI React Right). If you do not already have it, we include this practical training.
You will learn CPR (cardiopulmonary resuscitation), first aid, and a diving-specific module: oxygen administration in case of decompression sickness.
Do you need to be in excellent physical condition or be an expert diver to become a Rescue Diver?
That’s a myth. The Rescue Diver course is not a military-style training program. It is designed for any certified Advanced diver (or equivalent) who wants to become a more reliable dive buddy.
